Yujiro Hanma Calisthenics Workout: Train Like the Strongest Creature Alive

Yujiro Calisthenics Workout

As someone who loves Baki, Yujiro was long overdue.

Yujiro Hanma is so inhuman, he’s literally called a creature. He’s taken down armies, wrestled giant beasts, and — yes — punched an earthquake.

He’s got a demon for a back, a brain that rivals supercomputers, and a physique that screams dominance.

And you’re probably wondering: “We can do all this with CALISTHENICS?”

Let’s find out.

In this episode of the Anime Training Series, we’re breaking down the workout of the Ogre himself — Yujiro Hanma. No gym required. Just your bodyweight, a weighted vest or backpack, and the will to train like a monster.

Physical Stats

Name: Yujiro Hanma

Height: 6’3”

Weight: ~265 lbs

Abilities:

  • Master of every known martial art

  • Superhuman strength, speed, and reflexes

  • Tactical genius and combat adaptability

  • Brute force capable of seismic impact

  • Demon back (literal) and unmatched muscular control

Training Principles

Brute Force Yujiro doesn’t just fight — he overwhelms. While he’s a master tactician, he’s also known for raw, brute strength. To simulate this, we’ll use heavy calisthenics: weighted dips, pull-ups, push-ups, and static holds. The key is volume and training close to failure. You’re not just moving — you’re dominating.

Physical Versatility Yujiro constantly evolves. He’s mastered every fighting style and continues to improve. To reflect that, this program sticks to foundational movements — but we’ll vary the difficulty over time. Think explosive pull-ups, advanced holds, and weighted progressions. Master the basics, then make them harder.

Martial Arts Conditioning No martial arts anime character skips conditioning — especially not Yujiro. We’ll use a mix of plyometrics and aerobic drills to build fight-ready endurance. Jump rope, shadowboxing, lateral bounds, and explosive push-ups will help you move like a predator and recover like a monster.
